Comparison of ETA5603120A and ETA5301T high and low frequency current probes
In the field of power electronics testing, the performance boundary of current probes is facing a dual challenge: to capture the transient details of nanoseconds, and to carry the energy trace of hundred amperes. When a 120MHz bandwidth ETA5603120A is competing with a 5MHz bandwidth ETA5301T current probe, engineers need to look at its technical characteristics in 3 dimensions:
Noise level:
It can be seen from the figure that the noise floor of the ETA560312A is much lower than that of the ETA5301T, which is more advantageous when measuring small currents. The ETA5301T is more advantageous when measuring currents above 100mA.
High frequency measurement:
ETA560312A in the measurement of 10MHz sine wave signal can be very good to restore the waveform, ETA5301T at this time has been unable to measure the frequency and waveform has been distorted, in the low frequency signal ETA5301T is a more cost-effective choice
Range and sensitivity:
The ETA560312A has two measuring ranges 5A(1V/A) and 30A(0.1V/A). When measuring small currents lower than 5A, the signal has no attenuation and can better restore the original waveform.
The ETA5301T also has two ranges of 10A(0.1V/A) and 100A(0.01V/A); it is more cost-effective in the case of low-frequency and high-current.
