A current probe detects the current flowing through a conductor and converts it into a voltage that can be seen and measured on an oscilloscope. The current probe uses a mix of technologies including Hall-effect sensors (sensing DC current) and current transformers (sensing AC current). The open-ended design current probe is easily connected to and disconnected from the conductor, providing a DC to 100 MHz measurement bandwidth.
