ETA3102 Insulated piercing alligator clip

ETA3102 insulated piercing alligator instrument test clip with insulated piercing needle, copper clip has better conductivity than 304 stainless steel clip, toothed clip has stronger grip.

The bare alligator clips have no rated voltage because they have no insulation. ETA makes insulating sheaths for most of its clips, but insulating sheaths only protect users working on the electric circuit. Most of the insulators we sell are designed to prevent clips from contacting only other conductive materials. Usually, the dielectric breakdown voltage of our insulators is at least 3 kV, but the clips of most clips are still completely exposed and potentially dangerous. Therefore, it is not recommended to connect or disconnect the clip so that its voltage is higher than 42V. If the clip is used in the handheld test environment, the clip with insulator can be safely used up to 3kV. The handheld test environment means that the clip can be connected or not connected only when the circuit is powered on at the end.

The reasons why ETA insulator can not meet the human body protection requirements under high voltage are as follows:

- In order to meet the requirements of IEC61010-031, insulators need to be permanently installed (can not be opened or closed or removed).

- Protective devices must be placed at designated distances to prevent accidental contact with exposed metal parts.

- No finger probe applied at any angle is allowed to touch any current carrying exposed metal.

- Butte clearance and creepage distance are required.
